Neuroscience
Neuroscience at WesternU covers a wide range of areas, from studying molecular and cellular processes to investigating complex neurological networks, brain disorders and injuries and mental health conditions.
By bridging lab work with clinical applications, our researchers aim to uncover the mechanisms behind brain diseases and explore innovative treatments. Key areas of focus include understanding age-related disorders, analyzing gene expression and protein interactions, and using pharmacological approaches, advanced techniques and animal models to study addiction, mental health, and neurodegenerative diseases.
