In collaboration with Wellness Outreach at WesternU (WoW), the Pumerantz Library is proud to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month with a series of wellness events throughout May. This week, we invite you to embrace the theme, “More Good Days, Together,” by connecting with WoW at the below events.

Monday, May 18th Mindful Mondays

4 pm – 4:30 pm

Join our WoW Team every Monday on Zoom for a 30-minute talk on a mindfulness topic:

Yoga Reset
Presented by Michele Ribeiro, EdD, ABPP (COMP-Northwest)

Join us for a 30-minute stretch break designed to reduce burnout and boost relaxation by lowering physical fatigue and cortisol levels. Even 2-5 minute stretching breaks can improve alertness, enhance mental clarity, and release endorphins.

Wednesday, May 27th CETL Workshop: Plan with a Purpose: Creative Organization for Mental Wellness

3 pm – 4 pm at the Pumerantz Library Lobby

This interactive wellness session explores how intentional planning, and creative organization can support mental health at both work and home. Participants will learn how using colorful planners, stickers, markers, and simple crafting tools can transform organization from chaos into a calming and motivating practice. Through guided discussion and hands on activities, attendees will discover how visual structure and creative expression reduces stress, improves focus, and creates a sense of control over daily responsibilities.

**Attendees are encouraged to bring their planners, if you do not have one, a journal will be provided as a start to your planner journey, supplies will be limited**

Pumerantz Learning Center

Welcome to the Pumerantz Learning Center (PLC), we are dedicated to providing an environment conducive to learning that provides study spaces and classrooms as well as open areas for collaboration. We offer many amenities including a Wellness Room, lounge, microwaves, refrigerator, coffee station and more.
