CARDIOVASCULAR
By understanding the heart and blood vessels’ function and diseases, cardiovascular research is transforming the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, and atherosclerosis.
We are using zebrafish, mouse, and swine models of heart failure to test novel therapies, reduce cardiovascular inflammation, and explore arterial contractility, blood pressure regulation, and heart muscle regeneration.
