Thanksgiving 2025
President’s Office
November 26, 2025
Dear WesternU Students, Faculty, and Staff,
As the autumn months unfold, I am reminded of the deeper meaning of Thanksgiving and the profound impact it has on our lives. This special occasion provides us with an opportunity to gather with family, friends, and loved ones, including our non-human companions, to celebrate the fruits of the harvest and reflect on the cherished memories and traditions that bind us together.
The Thanksgiving holiday also offers a moment to honor all of you, who so effectively help unite us as the WesternU family and community. Please know that the University is always here to support you in your noble endeavor of dedicated service.
With more than 3,700 enrolled students and over 23,000 alumni worldwide, we as an institution continue to serve as a compelling solution to the current national shortage of health professionals. We are an institution that educates healers who inevitably go on to serve global healthcare communities, including medically underserved areas and populations, consistent with the University’s mission and vision.
I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for the sacrifices you make every day to advance WesternU’s inspirational educational goals and objectives. As I reflect on the exceptional positive impact of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni, I am filled with an abundance of hope and pride.
Together, I firmly believe that we are making a meaningful difference on the world healthcare stage. Thanksgiving calls us to extend our thoughts to those in need—individuals and families who may lack the means to travel, to gather, or, in some cases, to enjoy the comfort of a Thanksgiving meal.
The Thanksgiving holiday is a poignant reminder of the importance of giving and sharing our abundant blessings with those in the WesternU community and in our communities at large. As we observe the Thanksgiving break this Thursday and Friday, I wish to convey my immeasurable appreciation to you, specifically, my deep gratitude for your contribution to the model of academic excellence that so effectively serves our cherished WesternU students. I invite you to reflect on the many aspects of our lives for which we are grateful: our colleagues, the love of family, the friendship of those closest to us, and the precious memories we hold dear.
It is truly an honor, a pleasure, and a privilege to serve as President of WesternU. Our mission is unique in its gracious spirit of humanism, embracing individuals and families from all walks of life and ensuring that each person is treated with dignity and respect. Your collective efforts are making a meaningful difference each day.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication to WesternU, to our students, to the communities of Pomona, California, and Lebanon, Oregon, and to the global healthcare community. Your commitment continues to inspire, and I am deeply grateful for all that you do.
With warmest Thanksgiving wishes,
Robin
