Announcing New Staff Positions in the Office of the President

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

I hope this email finds you well! I am excited to announce two staff changes in the Office of the President.

First, Josh Cameron, Ph.D. and Associate Professor of Neuroscience in the College of Optometry, will begin his new role as Executive Liaison Officer, where he will manage and strengthen the relationship between executive leaders and offices across WesternU and with internal and external partners. He will also be a strategic thought partner to me, the Board, and the university’s leadership. Dr. Cameron’s previous experience as Chair of the Academic Senate and his many years as a member of the WesternU community makes him well-positioned to lead this new effort. Dr. Cameron will begin his new role on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Second, Jill Ferreira has been named Associate Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff to the President beginning on Monday, March 6, 2023. Jill has served as Senior Director of Operations in the Office of the President since September 2022 and joined the WesternU community in 2015 with more than fifteen years of project management and strategic leadership experience.  I highly value Jill’s thoughtful consideration of WesternU’s future and her ability to keep us moving forward. In her new role, she will oversee all internal operations for the President’s Office.
