    Dr. Walker earned her BS from Texas A & M University in Community Health Education then worked in various community-based health organizations including AIDS Project Hartford and Tarrant County Mental Health Mental Retardation. She later worked in city government at the City of Arlington, TX Water Utilities Department in training and leadership development roles. She returned to school and earned her master's degree in physical therapy from UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX, then later completed her post-professional DPT at Texas Tech. Dr. Walker has over 20 years of full-time clinical experience, working as a physical therapist in various care settings including acute, skilled nursing, acute rehab, home health, and outpatient rehab. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist and has extensive experience working with patients with complex medical issues. Her research and clinical interests involve education about and treatment of persistent pain. In her spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys hiking, kayaking, cat videos, attending music festivals, and travel abroad.
