Dr.Ahrnsis a postdoctoral fellow in rehabilitation research at WesternU DPTE-OR, where she is excited to help shape the future of physical therapy through education and research.She collaborates on studies involving infant postural controland development as well aspost-stroke gait.
Sheearned her BA in Biology from Trinity Christian College and her DPT from Grand Valley State University. Prior to joining WesternU, she spent eight years as afull-timepediatric physical therapist in Alaska, including four years as department manager. Her work emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical instruction.
She holds certifications in Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance and is an APTA Level I Credentialed Clinical Instructor.Shevolunteers at the Lebanon Public Library, continuesto advance her clinical skills through ongoing education, andrecently becamecredentialedto work in the Practical Application Labs (PALs) clinic at WesternU.
