Winter Break

Good Afternoon, WesternU Community,

Each year the WesternU Campus Community awaits patiently for a notice of announcement approving the Winter Break.

In the spirit of Humanism, our core value, please rest assured that WesternU will observe the Winter Break this year.  As such, this year the proposed WesternU campuses will close at the end of day Friday, December 22, 2023, and will re-open Monday, January 8, 2024.

While we are happy to observe the extended Winter Break closure for most employees, as in past years, critical/essential services and/or functions may continue to remain open, which include areas such as the Office of International Scholars, Research, Financial Aid, IT, Health Centers, and External Affairs. Additional information related to the Winter Break will be provided by the Division of Institutional Shared Services. I hope this advance announcement is helpful in planning for coverage of critical/essential University functions during the Winter break period.
