Thank You Mr. Jeff Keating

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am writing to announce the departure of  Mr. Jeff Keating, WesternU Vice President for Community and Government Affairs. During Jeff’s tenure and leadership at WesternU, he devoted many hours to providing communication expertise to WesternU in unique ways.

In his role as Executive Director of Public Affairs beginning in 2008, and then as Executive Director of Public Affairs & Marketing in 2012, he led the Community and Governmental Affairs Office. WesternU benefited from his prior experience in the strategic communications arena, and his experience in the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors.

While at WesternU, Jeff developed and implemented the overall communications strategy for the University, including media outreach, creation of press releases and electronic and print communications   He also supervised University Advancement employees in communications, publications, and special events.

In his more current role, Jeff monitored and represented the University on local, regional, and state association boards and committees and advocated for local, regional and statewide appointments of WesternU leaders and stakeholders to associations, boards, and committees.  He also monitored policy issues impacting or potentially impacting the University and developed position statements as needed and approved and helped to develop execution strategies in collaboration with relevant campus entities and senior leadership.

Please join me in thanking Jeff for his 15-year commitment and service to the University and wishing him success in his future endeavors.
