Request for Representatives- WesternU Strategic Plan Steering Committee

Good Afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well. I am pleased to announce that WesternU is embarking on a strategic planning process with RW Jones Agency, a nationally recognized strategic communications agency that works almost exclusively with higher education institutions. As part of this strategic planning process, we are forming a Steering Committee to help shape the strategic future of WesternU.
The Steering Committee will work closely with RW Jones and WesternU leadership to respond strategically to challenges and opportunities faced internally and externally, as well as advise me on positioning the university for strength in the coming decade.
The effectiveness of the steering committee requires a commitment to collaboration and communication. As such, the steering committee will include representation from the following groups and divisions:
- Academic Senate
- Staff Council
- University Executive Operations Team
- Deans Council
- Student Government Association
The steering committee will also include representatives from Operations, Human Resources, and the Provost’s Office.
The frequency of the meetings is unknown at this time, but it is anticipated that the group will meet regularly. We have scheduled our first meeting for January 16, at 12:00 pm (PST).
Please provide me with the names of the two representatives who will participate in the Steering Committee on behalf of your governance body by Friday, December 16, 2022.
