Parking:<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>All WesternU Students and Staff MUST purchase a WesternU parking permit to park a vehicle in WesternU designated <\/strong>parking lots, the university parking structure and designated street parking.<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Permits are required in all WesternU Parking Lots.<\/li>\n<li>You can purchase a one day City Parking permit\u00a0<strong>$2.00<\/strong>\u00a0to park in Lot #12.<\/li>\n<li>Motorcycles must park in designated motorcycle parking locations. Permits are required in both Staff and Student lots.<\/li>\n<li>Persons with disabled placards may park in any WesternU lot\u00a0<em>with a valid WesternU parking permit<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>There are reserved parking spots (with signage). Only the designated person may park there. These spaces are located in employee lots and the University Parking Structure.<\/li>\n<li>Invalid permits\u00a0are subject to ticket or tow by the city. Blank parking permits will not be provided to anyone.<\/li>\n<li>Parking regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.<\/li>\n<li>No overnight parking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evening and Weekend Parking:<\/strong> You may park in the University parking structure, student lot #27 and employee lot #\u2019s 19, 21, and 24 in the evenings and weekends. The remaining lots are pay parking in the evenings (7:00 p.m. +) and on the weekends. You are free to park in any space, except \u201cReserved\u201d marked spaces. They may change their parking election at any time by logging into the employee portal at <a href=\"https:\/\/my.westernu.edu\/\">my.westernu.edu<\/a>, clicking on\u00a0<em>Self Services (BanWeb)<\/em>\u00a0and selecting\u00a0<em>Request Parking Pass<\/em>\u00a0from the\u00a0<em>Personal Information Services Menu.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary Employees and Contract Employees<\/strong> may purchase a WesternU parking permit or use City Daily Permit parking; those contracted directly with the University may choose to have it deducted through payroll, others may arrange parking by emailing <a href=\"mailto:parking@westernu.edu\">parking@westernu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Receiving Your Permit<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Please take your printed confirmation to the Office of Campus Security to receive your permit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lost or Stolen Parking Permit\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The replacement cost will be $25.00. A Lost\/Stolen Report will need to be filed with Campus Security. On ending employment with Western University of Health Sciences the permit must be returned to the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n<p>Upon return of the Parking Permit, the related payroll deduction will be adjusted. In the absence of a returned Parking Permit, the recognition of the standard fee will continue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there reserved permit spaces available for faculty and staff?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A limited number of reserved spaces are available in the designated lots and university parking structure. Each individual choosing this option is assigned to a numbered space and have sole access on any business day (seven days a week), recognized University holidays excepted.<\/p>\n<p>Reserved spaces are only available to the permit that is assigned to that parking space. These spaces will have signs posted to indicate that they are reserved. Any other vehicles found in these spaces are subject to ticket and\/or tow. Purchase of a reserved permit will be a one year commitment covering the entire term.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How will Rideshare\/Car pooling work with the new parking permits?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Employees who wish to rideshare together may choose one of their group to purchase the parking permit. Up to 3 vehicles can be registered on one permit. It is the permit holders responsibility to make financial arrangements with the other carpoolers. Only one permit can be issued and must be shared by the carpoolers.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who rideshare will continue to submit monthly reimbursement forms through the Office of Human Resources. You may temporarily park in the University Services Center parking lot. The short term permit will only be valid while your primary vehicle is unavailable.
