CGN partnered with the Benner Institute at HealthImpact, Inc. and San Antonio Regional Hospital (Upland, CA) to provide the <strong>Benner Institute Clinical Faculty and Educator Certificate Program<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>FREE<\/strong>\u00a0across Public Health Region 9. WISTP is designed as a one-year, limited employment, transition-to-practice training program for nationally-certified nurse practitioners and PAs. Eligible applicants are those less than 18 months out of the basic education program. The Behavioral Health Training Center offers state of the art training for CGN\u2019s students in the MSN E program, the FNP program, and the PMHNP Program. Guenther Foundation\u202fto\u202fpurchase procedural training equipment for the\u202fCollege of Graduate Nursing Simulation Training Center.\u202fThe\u202fnew\u202fhigh fidelity simulation model\u202fequipment is paramount\u202fto\u202fimprove the hands-on training\u202fto prepare graduate nursing students for practice in urgent care (UC) and emergency department (ED) settings in Southern California.\u202fThe expanded training capabilities\u202fmade possible by\u202fthese\u202fsimulation models\u202fwill\u202falso enable\u202fstudents\u202ffrom other\u202fWesternU\u202fColleges\u202fto\u202flearn\u202fand practice\u202fthese unique skills\u202fas well.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe\u202fWesternU\u202fCollege of Graduate Nursing has built a solid reputation of educating outstanding and compassionate advanced practice nurses and nurse leaders \u2013 a success we credit to our students, faculty, and community partners, such as the Henry L.
