Before beginning any employment you must receive the appropriate approval from your DSO.<\/p>\n<p>Working improperly or without authorization is a serious violation of your F-1 status. You should consult your DSO if you have any questions regarding employment. It is your responsibility to comply with all immigration regulations which apply to F-1 students. Full-time employment is permitted during official school breaks, annual vacations, and holidays. Students must be pursuing a full course of study, or, if employed during annual vacation, intend to register for the next academic term.<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n                          <\/div>\n          <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"relative my-48 md:my-72\">\n  <div class=\"container\">\n    <div class=\"lg:flex px-12 lg:justify-center\">\n      \n      \n                  \n                  \n      <div class=\"w-full px-24 wysiwyg-content xl:w-10\/12 2xl:w-9\/12\">\n        <p>On-Campus Employment Procedures<\/p>\n<p>Once you have secured employment on-campus, you will need to submit a letter of employment to your DSO. The letter should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Campus department where you will be working<\/li>\n<li>Type of employment<\/li>\n<li>Beginning date of employment<\/li>\n<li>Number of work hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Name of supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After submission of your employment letter, you will be notified by your DSO whether or not you can begin working. The letter must be typed or written on official school or company letterhead and include the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DateName of student<\/li>\n<li>Job description<\/li>\n<li>Employment start date (start date cannot be more than 30 days from your application date)<\/li>\n<li>Number of expected work hours<\/li>\n<li>Employer identification number (EIN)<\/li>\n<li>Employer contact information, including telephone number and name of immediate supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Original signature<\/li>\n<li>Signatory\u2019s title<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once it has been determined that you are authorized to work, your DSO will prepare a letter of support for you to take to the Social Security office. You will be notified by email when your letter of support is ready.<\/p>\n<p>Information and instructions on completing your application can be found on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ssa.gov\/pubs\/10181.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Social Security website<\/a>. The Social Security Office in Pomona is located at 960 W.
