The college collaborates with the community of Lebanon to train professionals who focus on rural health and on improving the lives of Oregonians locally and regionally. Our flagship program, the Doctor of Physical Therapy, is a three-year graduate curriculum that integrates rigorous basic sciences training with early exposure to clinical practice through our Practical Application Labs and clinical education placements. Our faculty fill a need for human-centered research, and we mentor every student to critically evaluate their evolving field and provide evidence-based care. We graduate well-rounded practitioners who are entry-level ready to face the challenges of delivering quality care in varied settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The College of Health Sciences Northwest will be the Pacific Northwest leader in advancing healthcare access in rural, medically underserved, and vulnerable communities. We are a center for educational programs that focus on rural healthcare needs, humanistic discovery, and community service. Our college was founded as an extension of the College of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, to meet the unique needs of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. We offer a Doctorate in Physical Therapy that trains students in the basic sciences relevant to healthcare and that incorporates patient contact early in and throughout the curriculum.
