The peer notetaker posts their notes to SharePoint and the student with the accommodation downloads them.<\/p>\n<p>CDHP also provides the following <strong>assistive technologies for notetaking<\/strong>: Otter Voice Meeting Notes (Otter.ai); audio record class lectures; and the Livescribe<sub>TM<\/sub> Smartpen as accommodations for notetaking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Otter.ai<\/strong> is an integrated notetaking app that\u00a0converts voice conversations into smart notes by recording the audio and using artificial intelligence to provide machine-generated transcription. These transcriptions\/notes can be edited and easily searched. Once a student has been approved for Otter.ai they will be set up to receive training. If you are interested in learning more about Otter.ai click on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/hHHSljmm8uQ\">Intro to Otter.ai &#8211; YouTube<\/a> for a short tutorial.\u00a0 If you are approved for Otter.ai as an accommodation click on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OjFT-h5602c\">Troubleshooting Otter.ai &#8211; YouTube<\/a> for a short video on tips to troubleshoot common challenges with Otter.ai.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Permission to Audio Record Lectures<\/strong>\u00a0is an accommodation that provides access to lecture content presented in a course. For this purpose, students may use their smartphones, computer software, tablets, digital recorders, and other electronic devices.\u00a0 For those courses that provide students access to recorded lectures students <u>must<\/u> use these.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Livescribe<sub>TM<\/sub> Smartpen<\/strong> records the lecture and digitizes the student\u2019s handwritten notes, automatically syncing the ink with the audio.\u00a0 Once a student has been approved for the Livescribe<sub>TM<\/sub> Smartpen, they will be scheduled to receive training on the device.
