Dr. DeCilla was born and raised in New York City and attended Fordham University where she received a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She relocated to Los Angeles and obtained a M.S. in Biology from California State University, Northridge. Her research thesis on the effect of folic acid on human chromosomes and fragile sites gained international recognition and she presented her published findings at the 4th International Symposium on Pteridines and Folic Acid Derivatives in Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. DeCilla is a graduate of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC where she earned her D.D.S. She owned a private practice in Santa Monica, CA and has over 20 years of clinical experience. Her goal is to teach students superior clinical skills and encourage them to be the best they can be. Dr. DeCilla enjoys exercising and spending time with her children.
